new experience

The phone has distinct aesthetics with its design and the functions are user-friendly. Still exploring it now but so far I'm all excited.

Nothing but Sleek and Simple

After aquiring this phone last month, I can say that my experience with the Nothing Phone 2 has been very good. I got the white variant, since the glass back could show more fingerprints on the black variant.

The unboxing experience was excellent, where they showcase the use of recyclable or disposable materials, not to mention the satisfying pull of the little tab to open the box. The box carrying the actual phone is very sturdy and aesthetically pleasing, making you want to keep the box for novelty. The included Type-C-to-Type-C cable also has the transparent look from Nothing.

The phone itself is very comfortable to the hand, despite being a big phone. The display is almost as big as the phone, with very minimal borders. As someone who switched from a midrange phone, the performance was a big step up, where Genshin Impact ran 60fps on high graphics settings, but with some occasional stutters when a lot of things are happening. After 6-10 mins of playing Genshin Impact, the edges of the phone could feel warm to the touch, but the performance stays the same.

The overall look of this phone, with the Glyph interface and the monochrome theme within the launcher suggests that you use the phone less than usual. Even with the thrill of getting a new phone, I am left doing less with the phone than I usually would. In my opinion, the look is more than an aesthetic factor, but also a utility. I even use the Glyph timer for timed intervals on workout sets. You can set a shortcut on the home screen and flip it down to start. Easy!

The camera is quick and responsive. Using the double-tap feature to bring up the camera is fast, to the point where I can capture quick moments with the lenses.

This was an expensive upgrade compared to my old midranger, when you can probably get the same specs from a cheaper phone. The costs could definitely by caused by the look of the phone, making sure that all things are symmetric and good-looking inside and out. However, I believe in the vision of the Nothing team and I am glad to support them with this phone that check all of the boxes. If they do make their own "ecosystem" with the ear series and their upcoming smartwatch from CMF, I will definitely look into it!

The "Android iPhone", a Great Phone!

this phone is so satisfying, aside from the glyphs which they say is just a gimmick, the phone features itself are excellent, so assistive and lets you use the screen less saving battery and lesser eye strain, it is very responsive and the camera, although doesn't have telephoto lens are quite good. kudos to Nothing Tech for this phone, hoping on more upgrades on devices in the future! thanks to DW for the fast online transaction! very legit tech store in the PH. does transactions anywhere you are in the Ph.
